Hello everyone,

We finally have a new YouTube channel for SFRS. I uploaded our Band of Brothers video done back in 2004. We have had a lot of requests to get that video back up so we finally got it up. I’m not impressed with the quality of the video after upload to YouTube, but there is little I can do about that. I have it uploaded to another site as well that gave much better quality in the video. I will embed it here in this post.

SFRS had it’s annual Christmas party for 2008 and it was a blast as always. Some of the highlights was as follows:

• Owens Brothers was recognized with a plaque for their hard work and dedication to our Fire Dept. in 2008, congradulations guys!
• Ricky Lee Woods was awarded Fire Fighter of the year for 2008, congradulations “Snitchy Lee” !
• Too much good food and deserts was consumed, thx to all the wives.

The pictures from the evening has been added in the photo gallery, check them out!

We now have a photo gallery that you can access over on the right menu. Currently we are adding pictures from our latest training meeting where we trained on Automotive Extrication. We will be adding more pictures and albums as time goes on. So keep a check on it !

Good morning !

The first version of the staff page is up and running smoothly. I will be adding to this page over the next few days, as well as other parts of the site. So check back often to see more new content as it rolls out.

You may notice some extra content on the right side of every page now. If you look below the Top News section you will see a new Firehouse.com section that will always contain the latest news feed from FireHouse.

Sumiton Fire and Rescue has a brand spanking new site layout and design. 2007 will bring new and exciting things within the Fire Dept. and this website. Just to get this site out and up live we had to hide a few sections until the finishing touches was done. So be sure to check back for more exciting new sections rolling out in the very near future !
